Here is some interesting work from a Dutch design house called Demakersvan. This technique could lend itself to lots of creative aplications for ambient media or signage. Finding inspiration like this is a good way to get us to think about everyday places and objects in differently and to think of new ways to use them.

It's hard enough coming up with a vehicle for ambient media.. I've had this problem working on the D&AD puma brief. But when you come to think of it, it's all around us! Almost everything can be used one way or the other.. I was amazed when I saw this fence, who would have thought of using a fence for promotion.. That's what makes it special, It's different than anything else. this is what I call GOOD DESIGN, and CREATIVITY!
wow! never thought of that! I bet it could be very interesting to integrate typography in the fence! a very inspiring example of ambient media!
Love this! So unusual- who knew wire fences could be so eye catching and attractive. Makes a change to see them being used like this as opposed to being vandalised!
