I haven't posted any album art up to now, so I thought it was time to post something. This stuff is from a french electronic outfit, I've heard their amazing live althouth the sound is a bit niche the album art is interesting in my opinion.
I find the composition of the art work on the record visually appealing - the layout is balanced and aesthetically appealing whilst use of a simple three colour palette really works on this occasion, especially the choice of colours against the black. Not sure how appealing I find the image of the record sleeve!
This type of illustration is used by other bands Justice, Simian and Uffie. I'm pretty sure they are all on the same record label; Ed Banger Records. It'd be interesting to know whether these illustrations are by the same illustrator. They could be being used to create a collective visual identity for these musicians so that you can tell which label they are on. This type of illustration has been animated in an interesting way for the Justice music video-D.A.N.C.E which i have posted on my blog.

I like the almost retro look to it, shows what you can achieve if you limit yourself to a small ammount of colours.
