the image and the tagline suggest something pretty sinister. dont feel this is a good or indeed suitable promotion for a beauty product, looks more like something for the NSPCC or a natural disaster charity.
I cannot understand why they would feel the need to use such a horrible image..it's a pointless shock tactic! They were clearly were just exploiting a powerful image to grab consumer attention. Tacky and shameful!
I understand that shock advertising is meant to grab your attention, and most of the time I can understand why its used. However in this case I just dont get it! I dont understand why that would make you go and buy the product, I agree very tacky.
Although I am a fan of shock tactics, I feel this image is highly inappropriate for the product it's trying to sell and only contributes to the belief that 'shock tactics do not work'. This is a shame, as used in an appropriate context to raise emotion and awareness for a cause, shock tactics can be very effective and create a positive impact. This advert is extremely insensitive and makes a mockery out of thoughtful design.
This is shocking!! is a disgusting and completely in appropraite manner! I cant believe anyone would try and profit from a natural disaster like that; this is highly insensitive and I believe they were actually allowed to print it. If if was to shock people into giving aid to help people then I could maybe understand but they've done it to advertise a beauty product.
Great piece of shock advertising there. Although i dont see how this would be good for advertising a face cleansing product. Seems like it would be better used for a charity or something.
The graphic team wants to broaden your cultural experience in relation to design. This initiative will allow you to explore and develop new inspiration to inform your future work. To get this initiative going the graphics team have set up this blog on which interesting/inspirational things will be posted for you to view and comment on.

This is horrible!!! I understand the concept but why would this image be linked to a face scrub?!
