Harvey Nichols is launching a campaign to promote its Fifth Floor Foodmarket, with a press and viral campaign.
The viral takes a satirical look at the fashion, with a series of jaw-dropping sights such as an anorexic goat vomiting in a toilet and a drug addicted cockerel snorting lines of cocaine.
In the provocative viral, farmyard animals replace the fashion models, while the humans in the film are played by staff from DDB London, Harvey Nichols' creative agency.

That is a pretty good ad, interesting how the fashion models are depicted as animals when actually they are the ones who behave like animals. But then with the other slant that you have a fashion show for the animals showing they have great taste and range in there new foodmarket. A really strong ad in my eyes, i think some will be confused by it but memorable all the same. Harvey Nicholls with advertising and window displays consistently deliver the goods.
I think I like this advert. I can understand the idea and appreciate why some people may not like the advert but to me it appears that it has been created with controversy in mind (which is not neccessarily a bad thing) as it is the type of thing that has the potential to become viral. I would assume that the new food range has at least one vegetarian option but I also imagine that since celery or carrots can't be made to look controversial and like they're snorting cocaine that they were left out of the spot. But overall I think that its an advert that will get people's attention and that it has the possibility to become strong virally, which for Harvey Nichols, can't be bad as long as any negativity isn't too strong.
Well I think they are nearly there. The idea is good but I don't think it is executed as successfully as it could be. The ending is weak. Viral ads are shocking there were scarce moments of controversy. If you're going to do it, do it. Unfortunately I feel this is a half hearted attempt.

I loved it! I got it straight away and it made me smile. Never mind a corn fed chicken, I fancy eating a coke fed chicken.
